For your consideration:
This is a vintage medical surgical instrument of which - I have no idea what it is
but thought it was kind of cool looking.
Update! I received an email from a very nice person who knows what this is, here is their email:
This is a retractor, an antiquated Morris or Kelly type.
The large blade holds open and back the tissues and the smaller hook aids the hand of the surg tech to keep the proper pressure and angle on the surgical site to keep it open, which is really taxing after a while!
This piece is around 6 inches tall, wonderful hook shapes on either end and has a bit
of display wear but retains most of the plating. Good condition.
