Vintage Embalmers Drainage Jars Dodge Chemical Company

This wonderful and rare vintage Dodge Chemical Company
embalmer jars with original case.
I believe this is from around 1900, and was manufactured by the Dodge Chemical Co.
These Embalmers Drainage Jars were used extensively around the turn of the century
when the undertaker would come to the home and embalm the dead on a portable cooling board,
or in a pinch, the kitchen table was utilized.
These jars are remarkably in their original carrying case which measure
14 inches x 13 and 1/2 inches x 7 inches. Both jars have slight marring and
scratches from use but nothing major, all minor from normal wear.
Both jars have a 4 qt capacity (in raised letters on the jars) and measure
10 inches x 6 inches x 6inches each. The metal caps are stamped with Dodge
Chemical Co., Boston Mass and both caps are still in excellent condition.
Please note that one of the jars is minus a rubber stopper!
A rare find for collectors of vintage embalming/funeral service items.
The shipping Weight is around 20 lbs, hence the cost.
