Wheaton Amber Glass Coffin Bottle
For your consideration:
This is a lovely Wheaton amber glass Coffin POISON bottle.
The front has a Skull and Crossbones, the wording is surrounded with lots of little hobnail warning bumps and below that the Wheaton Copyright - W©71.
The back says R.I.P. then below that USE WITH CARE and below that PATENTED.
The back is also edged with little hobnail warning bumps.
One the sides are what look like little handles, two on each side.
The bottle is tiny, standing a mere 3 inches tall, and is only 1 and 3/4 inches wide.
This is a Wheaton reproduction of the Victorian era coffin poison bottles, but even
now the Wheaton coffin bottles are becoming quite desireable and hard to come by.
This bottle is clean and in excellent condition.
There are no chips, cracks, scratches, hazing or loss of shiny finish.
I have two other bottles just like this one, a blue one, and a green one.
This lovely bottle comes from the private collection of a longtime
collector of Apothecary Items.
