Vintage Pair Velvet and Gold Chevrons
This is a lovely and vintage original pair of black velvet and gold bullion thread
chevrons.
I was told these may have been from the Civil War and I am going to hazard a guess that these were for a sergant major.
They are around 8 inches wide by 10 and 1/4 inches long and in very good condition, machine stitched.
The velvet is in need of cleaning but I will let a professional do that.
