Tattooed Alchemy Snake Lady & He Devil

TATTOOED ALCHEMY SNAKE LADY & HE DEVIL

During the 16th Century black magic and the occult sciences were practiced in Prague--the famous center of alchemy--on Golden Lane or the "Street of the Alchemist" as it was known. The infamous Doctor Faust lived there, as did Paracelsus, Cornelius Agrippa and the monk Tritheim.

The setting for this poster is that of Grand Old Prague during the time of occult inspiration--in search of the philosopher's stone. This illustration depicts that which the magicians made of themselves to their art. Science could not fail to obey the 'serpent'. Eroticism was always present, as you can plainly see with this vividly illustrated image.

This poster is 17 inches wide by 22 inches high, generous black ink lushly printed on a heavy parchment stock.

PLEASE NOTE: This poster image was hand drawn by Madame Talbot using nothing more than pen and ink on illustration board.

After the poster was completed, it was taken to a real printer and printed on an offset printing press.

Absolutely no computers were used in the making of this poster, all of it was drawn entirely by hand.

The copyright notice is on the website image only and not on the printed poster.
