Medical Leech Jar
For your consideration:
Leeches have been used in medicine since ancient times, and became a popular medical treatment during the 19th century.

This is a gorgeous cylinder shaped leach jar that was manufactured sometime in the mid to late 20th century by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
The number on the bottom of the jar reads: No. H.878/O/A H878
This is made of white ceramic with a matching ceramic lid with breathing holes in the lid.
Condition: This Leech jar is in excellent condition, there are no chips, cracks or crazing. Beautiful!
