Ex Ossibus Framed Curio Exhibit

This is a vintage gray ornate gesso frame and with all frames I use, I prefer those with chips, dings and other imperfections to give the illusion of the curio being very old.

This beautiful framed curio is 24 and 1/2 inches wide by 28 inches tall.

Materials used are: Victorian-era French metallic silver trim, French gold metallic stars and metallic pink appliques.

Victorian-era red velvet was used through-out.

There are two Victorian era fabric tassels that came from an old Funeral Home as well as a pressed tin design of Ostrich Feathers, the type used on funeral horses and carriages during the Victorian era.

In the center a sagittal cut real human skull has been gently mounted on the velvet and embellished with vintage hand-made paper and silk flowers.

Mounted directly underneath the skull are two crossed human arm bones.

This incredibly rare piece is ready to hang in your own personal dime museum or sideshow.

This one-of-a-kind framed curio is signed, rubber-stamped and dated on the back by Madame Talbot.

If you are thinking of purchasing a Framed Curio Exhibit, please read the Bone FAQ to make sure you are within your legal limit when purchasing human bones, &c.

Please Note: With all of my Framed Curio Exhibits, I try to replicate an authentic atmosphere of Victorian-era Dime Museum Patina. This of course refers to that very special layer of age that builds up over decades, something which I try to incorporate into all of the framed curio pieces I make.

This Victorian-era Dime Museum Patina may include one or more of the following: vintage dust fabric, flower petals shards, glue bits, thread strands, sun faded material, water stained, and/or smoke burned 100-year-old paper, &c., &c., and &c.
