Vintage Poison Fly Paper Mini Framed Curio
This wood-framed curio is 9 and 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches tall.
This is a vintage Drug Store Pharacy poison packet.
It has an intense fly graphic with a skull and crossbones on either side of it.
The package itself has yellowed with age, and originally came with eight sheets
of SEIBERT Poison Fly Paper, soaked with arsenic solution
(which I discarded for safety reason and kept just the package for obvious reasons).
This was made and distributed by H.E. Seibert, St. Paul, Minn. and was
not only used as a source for fly death, but also ladies would take the fly paper and soak
it down in order to obtain the arsenic from it. They would save the liquid to drink, hoping to obtain that
lovely graveyard pallor skin color that was so popular back during the Victorian and Edwardian era.
This one-of-a-kind piece was mounted and framed in
a beautiful gold frame. It is ready to hang in
your very own personal dime museum or personal sideshow.

Please Note: With all of my Framed Curio Exhibits, I try to replicate
an authentic atmosphere of Victorian-era Dime Museum Patina.
This of course refers to that very special layer of age that builds up over decades,
something which I try to incorporate into all of the framed curio pieces I make.
This Victorian-era Dime Museum Patina may include one or more of the following:
vintage dust fabric, flower petals shards, glue bits, thread strands, sun faded material,
water stained, and/or smoke burned 100-year-old paper, &c., &c., and &c.
