VICTORIAN LOWBROW MOURNING DOLL:
Miss Tattycorn Tappertit Fetal Skull Doll
Miss Tattycorn Tappertit is 22 inches tall, from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet.
She has articulated legs and arms. Her hands and feet are made of china, all of which were created specifically for Madame Talbot's Nightmare China Dolls.
Miss Tattycorn Tappertit as well as her costume was completely hand-stitched, absolutely no sewing machines were used in the creation of this doll.
Miss Tattycorn Tappertit's dress is vintage green fabric. Her slip is handmade from
vintage linen and the hem is trimmed in two different styles of antique lace.
She wears a vintage lace necklace around her neck, and a length of Victorian green ribbon has been tied into a bow around her waist.
In her arms she carries a 1920s articulated bisque baby doll, dressed in its original clothing.
The inspiration for Miss Tattycorn Tappertit came from the old Antikamnia quack ads which used skeletons to hawk their product!
The entire doll was hand-stitched from cotton fabric, her head is a resin cast that was made from a fetal baby skull, and was hand-painted using acrylic paints. The body is stuffed with 100% clean polyester fiber fill.
Also included, an elegant hang-tag
that was specially made for this years
newest batch of dolls.
May I present, Miss Tattycorn Tappertit.
