Madame Bovary
Madame Bovary was written by Gustave Flaubert which was later attacked for obscenity by public prosecutors in 1856, that made the book and its main character quite notorious. It became a bestseller in 1857.

The novel focuses on a doctor's wife, Emma Bovary, who has many illicit and passionate affairs and lives way beyond her means in order to escape the banalities and emptiness of life with a rather dull and boring doctor.

------------------------------------------------------------

Madame Bovary is 16 inches tall, from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. She has articulated legs and bowed articulated arms. Madame Bovary as well as her costume was completely hand-stitched, no sewing machines were used.

The entire doll was hand-stitched from cotton fabric, her face was hand-painted using acrylic paints, and the body is stuffed with 100% clean polyestor fiber fill.

This particular doll has been accessorized with a lovely auburn tight ringlet wig. Each doll comes with a set of elegant hang-tags that were specially made for this years batch of dolls.
