Pair of Victorian Lowbrow Mourning Dolls
Each doll is 15 inches tall, from the top of his and her heads to the bottom of their porcelain feet.
They both have articulated legs and arms, their hands are delicate porcelain china.
Their entire bodies as well as their costumes have been completely hand-stitched, absolutely no sewing machines were used.
Her dress is vintage black fabric trimmed with Victorian black trim on her hem, sleeves and neckline.
Over her vintage black mourning dress is actual and extremely rare Victorian mourning crape, tied with a weeper ribbon made also from the crape.
His burial shroud is vintage aged white cotton fabric trimmed with Victorian lace and crochet on his hem, sleeves and neckline.
His vintage white burial shroud is tied with a white and gold ribbon.
Each doll was hand-stitched from cotton fabric, and the bodies stuffed with 100% clean polyester fiber fill. Each doll also has a removable string loop on the top of each head for easy hanging.
Each doll comes with an elegant hang-tag.
