A wonderful book on the history, renovation and upkeep of the Lewis and Clark (Riverview) cemetery.
Between 1896 and 1897, the first listed burial was noted in the sexton's book at around 1886, and at one
point over the years the cemetery nearly was lost forever due to the blackberries and fern.
This book is a
record of the cemetery, as well as a section on "Searching the Sod," lots of newspaper clippings on the cemetery
campers cleaning up the cemetery, a section on the salutes to veterans and a list of veterans who are buried there,
a section on how to read the entry, a section on abbreviations, a thick section on blocks written in pencil
and finally xeroxed photos of the tombstones.
A nice thick book on those who were buried in Clatsop County, Oregon.
Book has been gently read, the pages are clean and bright with light wear to it's cover.
