This is a superb vintage hardback edition entitled "The Microcosm of London",
illustrated with SIXTEEN full-page colour Plates by Thomas Rowlandson and
Augustus Charles Pugin, selected from the work originally published in 24 parts
by Rudolph Ackermann from 1808; with text by John Summerson.
It was published by Penguin Books Limited, of Harmondsworth, Middlesex,
in 1947 as one of their wonderful "King Penguin" editions.

The book measures 7.25 inches x 5 inches. The pages are nice and neat with a
little light foxing to the end papers. The binding is good with no loose or
missing pages.
There are NO inscriptions and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book.
The hardback cover is in very good condition for its age with minor wear and is a little grubby.
