AT YOUR SERVICE
Ashleigh Talbot has been an avid researcher on bizarre topics such as Egyptian Mummies, Real Shrunken Heads, Torture Devices to Gas Chamber Chairs, her expertise is all things death.
She has been Billy Jamieson's key researcher since 1999 and helped Billy research many of the items Billy eventually purchased for his collection, as well as having researched many of the topics to be purchased or used not only for his personal collection, but also for his upcoming TV show.
Billy Jamieson's own collection truly began when he became interested in the History of the Shuar Indian tribe's penchant for making ceremonial real human Shrunken Heads. Billy led five expeditions into Ecuador and Peru from 1995 to 2001.
Over the years, Billy collected the most extensive Shuar library and archival photos in existence, including a very nice collection of real human shrunken heads.
He later purchased the Niagara Falls Museum in 1998 and tucked within the musty walls of the old Victorian museum were 9 Egyptian Mummies, one of which turned out to be the Egyptian Pharaoh, Ramesses I.
Billy Jamieson not only worked hard, but he played hard. Every Halloween Billy would host one of his famous Halloween Parties, and for the past five years, Ashleigh Talbot designed the highly sought-after Halloween invitations.
Billy had been working on a television series called "Headhunter" which was slated for History Television. The premise was the life and work of macabre treasure dealer Billy Jamieson and featured many of the items from his incredible collection as well as his adventures as the ultimate collector. He was truly a Modern Day Indiana Jones.
Sadly, Billy recently passed away and left behind not only his incredible collection, but this quote which sums it up for those of us who collect - The Hunt and The Score:
"There is no cure for collecting. It doesn't matter if it's coins, baseball cards, dolls, or shrunken heads. We all have the same disease" - Billy Jamieson
